Takeoff Temporarily Aborted

Yes, because there's not already enough stress associated with traveling, internationally in cold, snowy, icy conditions... the universe has decided to have some more fun with us. Our flight is delayed by two hours. It's really ok with me though, as we found out first thing this morning and I'd much rather spend the time here at home, than sitting in the Miami airport, so I guess it's all good. It will give the Charles De Gaul Airport ground crew more time to make sure the runway is nicely salted! Merci guys!

So back to why this trip is even happening.... On January 1, 2010, Nick and I will have been married for 10 years!

For those of you married 15, 25, 30 years, you'd probably say this is not such a momentous occasion. However, although I've been married numerous times, I've never actually made it to the ten year mark, where I wasn't sitting in my lawyer's office filing the paperwork!

So there you go... this is BIG, this is worth celebrating! Ten years married to the same guy and still relatively happy!

    Wow...10 years, huh? ........ OK, so I sat here for like a minute trying to come up with something witty and snarky to say about that, but all that comes to mind is how happy I am for you. Dang.
